About Us
Global Debt Systems is a research and consulting firm focused on the consumer debt industry. Our clients receive up-to-date analysis of consumer debt statistics, lender policies and collection methods, current industry news and events, and state and federal legislative and regulatory activity. Our expertise is transferred through industry white papers, status reports, case studies, insightful articles, and commentary; and we provide strategic training to debt counselors on client management, creditor negotiations, and the business ethics surrounding the debt settlement process.
Purpose
Failures of huge companies due to the current uncertainty in the US credit markets have captured the headlines, yet, consumers drive our economy, and today, they need help. At Global Debt Systems, we work with debt settlement firms to improve their service to struggling consumers. It is our intent to;
1) Continuously scrutinize the credit card industry to understand their business practices and to reveal the impact of their debt collection strategies on consumers.
2) Challenge current practices of the debt management industry that have failed to deliver optimal results for consumers, and introduce improved techniques for negotiating debt settlements with lenders.
3) Fully disclose to the consumer the entire settlement process, including all fees and penalties assessed by creditors and debt counselors, and the potential legal consequences of debt settlement.
